I created a fabulous fabric volcano. If it wasn't so frustrating, it would be hysterical. I volunteered (clearly my first mistake) to help sew blocks for a project. My assignment--a 20 " Lone Star block. Okay. I decided to use some of my stash to practice on before cutting the fabric supplied for the project.
Well, after two days and massive amounts of swearing and sweating--I produced a gorgeous--volcano disguised as a lone star. OMG--you should see how the center poofs up! I

Ouch, ok it's the nicest thing I can come up with at the moment. I've been working on a quilt top and I thought I was in the home stretch, but it is not to be. Turns out that the blocks I've been making, which are good are coming up short. Now I have to go back and make several more to complete the pattern, or just finish the pattern out on three sides of the quilt. Do you think anyone would notice that the fourth side didn't get done???
